HUG Salt & Pepper

Ebony, Ivory living in perfect harmony......

The very nature of the "Hug Salt and Pepper Shaker" connotes brotherhood. The bold use of black and white suggests that we are all brothers and sisters on this planet and we need to treat each other with kindness, compassion and respect.

The rethinking of a salt and pepper set on this level, as well the clever geometric aspect of the design and the inherent ergonomic and storage benefits that it provides all contribute to the designs universal appeal.

Moët & Chandon's Picnic Chic

Pink-Nic anyone!

(NEW YORK) Picnics in Central Park will never be the same again thanks to Moët & Chandon. The bubbly brand has commissioned London-born illustrator Daisy de Villeneuve to reinvent the traditional picnic basket by designing a limited edition metallic gold leather Rosé tote with the tagline, “Don’t just picnic—Pink-Nic!” Fashioned as the ultimate accessory for urban fashionistas, the $1,500 structured bag, which features a silky pink lining and is now available exclusively at Barneys New York, holds all the essential ingredients for a summer soirée, including a magnum of Moët & Chandon Rosé Impérial, four tulip flutes, and two lacquered picnic boxes filled with an assortment of savory and sweet treats—from mini lobster wraps and smoke salmon mousse to pink chocolate-dipped strawberries and pink truffles—created by executive chef Mark Strausman of Fred’s at Barneys. De Villeneuve has also signed the inside of the bag and designed a special hangtag in the shape of a tulip that dangles near the handle. To celebrate its launch, not to mention de Villeneuve’s 30th birthday, her friend Zac Posen will host an intimate party at the Hudson Hotel’s new Sky Terrace on June 5.
