Known for her expert draping techniques that beautifully highlight a woman's shape, designer Doo-Ri Chung has been wooing critics and customers alike since her first collection hit the catwalk in 2003. Chung creates modern and sophisticated looks characterized by their fluidity and architectural detailing; fabrics are both hard and soft (matte jerseys and leathers) making for an interesting play on the feminine and masculine. In 2006, she was awarded both the coveted CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award and the CFDA Swarovski/Perry Ellis Award. A top graduate of Parsons School of Design, Chung worked with the legendary Geoffrey Beene for five years before launching her eponymous label.
Zoa Ltd has recently expanded their line to include a variety of fabulous winter coats. The Muriel Wide Collar Coat is a gorgeous design with a luminous metallic sheen that gives the jacket a decadent feel. The oversized, gathered wide collar complements the loose sleeves and flared shape of the coat. Large wooden buttons and a wide patent leather belt completes the adorable design.
Low in the bodice and dipped even lower in the back, these pieces are hardly for the faint of heart--for the woman who loves all her curves and doesn't mind letting the world know it.
